# $VAL ***IMPORTANT NOTE***** - $VAL will be the ecosystem token for Valeria Games only during Season 1! Season 1 will begin in November and last for 30-40 days. Meaning you can obtain the ful benefit of spending $VAL on in-game progression and merch, and receive it all back in the form of $LOV.** **Overview and Utility** $VAL will need to be swapped to GEMS for in-game use. $VAL can be swapped to GEMS (on our website) for a 50% discount, as opposed to buying GEMS in-game at the normal rate. GEMS replaces the traditional premium currency within games such as V- Bucks in Fortnite or Robux in Roblox. This token can be used to acquire cosmetics, booster packs, valerians, speed up progress, and more! $VAL will also be the only currency used to purchase items in our merch store (for Season 1). Additionally, $VAL is the currency that will be used within our marketplace to facilitate all transactions of in-game assets. The token will not be acquired in-game through regular play, but our new token $LOV will be available through our P2A campaign, and will require in-game play to participate.
